hereby join the Modesto/Central Valley Blue Star Mothers Families and
Operation Support Our Troops to respectfully request of our elected
officials, that the months of December and July be proclaimed Hugs to
Our Troops Month until they all come home.

The Modesto/Central Valley Blue Star Mothers
& Families and Operation Support Our Troops. US, respectfully request
of our elected officials, that the month of December and July be proclaimed “Hugs to
Our Troops Month”. The purpose of “Hugs
to Our Troops Month” is to focus on the importance of showing support for our
troops and their families.
We are organizations consisting of mothers,
fathers, family members and friends that have loved ones serving in the Armed
Forces of the United States. We have
joined hearts to encourage everyone to embrace our nations sons and daughters
with a special hug in the form of a Yellow Ribbon during this holiday
season.
By proclaiming the month of December and July “Hugs
to Our Troops Month”, we hope to send a
message from home that will warm the hearts of our troops and their
families. We would like to encourage
EVERY American, in every city, and every town, to hang Yellow Ribbons on their
homes, businesses, trees, cars, and to incorporate the theme into their holiday
displays. We would also like to
encourage all newspaper publications and Webmasters, to place a Yellow Ribbon on
their front page, for ALL to see their participation in this campaign.
Our Armed Forces of the United States and their families
need to know they are supported. They need to know that their fellow Americans
are thinking about them with a visual hug that will embrace them for months to
come.
Please help us show a visual message of support to the troops and their families until they all come home.
